The Evolution of the Ornate Garden Pod
A Message from the Designer
Wayne Farmer reflects on how the original vision for the Ornate Garden Pod evolved from luxury garden living into creative commercial environments.
"Originally conceived as a way to enhance outdoor living for families and homeowners, the Ornate Garden Pod has evolved far beyond its original purpose. What began as a design-led response to modern garden living has increasingly found a place within contemporary business environments, hospitality settings, rooftop terraces and creative commercial spaces.
As businesses continue to prioritise wellbeing, collaboration and flexible working environments, the demand for thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces has grown significantly. The pod’s distinctive architectural form, calming atmosphere and adaptable interior have made it a natural fit for meeting spaces, breakout areas, creative studios and private retreats away from the traditional office environment.
In this feature, Ornate Garden designer Wayne Farmer reflects on the original inspiration behind the concept, how the design has evolved over time, and why businesses are increasingly embracing outdoor architectural spaces that encourage creativity, conversation and wellbeing throughout the working day"
